Proprietor & Treatment Manager
Emma Hawthorne – Flawborough Equine’s Proprietor and Treatment Manager - set up her rehabilitation centre after her own horse suffered an injury and the prognosis looked bleak. She refused to accept the limited options available to her at the time, and soon realised the many benefits that complementary therapies can bring - the rest is history!
Coming from a farming, hunting and racing background, Emma brings a depth of knowledge and experience to the business. She’s always been involved with horses in one way or another - working in hunt service, at the French National Stud (Haras National) at Compiegne near Paris and for a time at Runnings Park Stud in Malvern.
At home on the family farm, she’s always had a horse or two to hunt or compete on - and as an owner has a keen interest in showing and racing.
In 2005 Flawborough Equine was born and now offers a full rehabilitation service to the equine industry - led by Emma who has the knowledge, experience and compassion to make a real difference. She has a fabulous rapport not just with horses but also with her clients and everyone she meets.
Emma is a trained Hydrotherapist and Equine Infrared Thermographer.
